To say that Yue is delusional would be, approximately, the understatement of the year. Since he was about 5 or 6 years old, he's always thought he was an alien, transplanted to earth for some purpose that he doesn't fully understand. It's hard to say what started this, except for maybe consuming too much science fiction at a young age. Maybe too young, in general.
He continued this fantasy into young adulthood, and eventually began using his artistic talents to sell various art pieces on the street and at night markets in his hometown, instead of just creating street art. He starts doing this when he's arguably too young, and definitely sneaks around his parents to do it. His eventual goal? To build a spaceship, so he can go home.
Yue is chattery and energetic— he talks a lot with his hands and in general is hard to bring down. Even if people tell him he's delusional, he doesn't seem to be easily brought off of his strange, delusional cloud. Whether anyone can is actually completely up in the air, honestly. And why would anyone want to? He's so weirdly endearing about it.
